How to : "Girl on Fire" Flame Nails - Katniss Everdeen Hunger Games

WATCH ME !!!!!!!

In the Hunger Games Book- When Katniss Everdeen is beatified for the interview with Caesar Flickerman at the Capitol, her nails were painted with red flames on them. Further on, in the hunger games she continues to wear these flame nails.

I am definitely a nail part pro....and I rarely succeeded at any nail art at all! But I finally learned something super cool that I would like to share with you guys. And yes, I learned this. =] ---If a newbie like myself can learn this....YOU can too =P

I paint on a base coat (CYD base coat). Then I painted on 2 coats of black polish (OPI black onyx ). When painting my nails I try to make 3 strokes to cover each nail so that the layer is thin.

I dotted on a couple dots of red nail polish on to the tip of my nail (OPI vodka & caviar). If you want the flames to start at the base of your nails put the dots on the very base of your nails instead.
Using a needle I dragged the nail polish downward with a "s" or "c" motion. I just did a couple strokes of this randomly. Try not to put too much thought in to this since it is suppose to be very random and no certain pattern.

Now taking orange (Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear-sunkissed) I repeated the same steps. Try to do this very quickly since in order to create a marble effect, you don't want the previous color to dry.

Now taking yellow (Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear-mellow yellow) I repeated the same steps.
