Proactive Final Thoughts

About 4 months ago I tried out the Proactiv products that are commonly seen in the infomercials on TV. Although I was unsure at first, after trying them out, I had some favorites.

Makeup Cleansing Wipe

The wipes were my ultimate favorite out of all of the things I was sent. About two weeks ago I actually ran out of them because I loved them so much. They were pretty good at removing my makeup and they left my skin feeling refreshed. Sometimes one wipe was enough other times I would need two. After using them, they always left my skin with a cool tingly feeling. Usually after removing my makeup for the night I would apple a face cream. This winter my skin seems to be extra dry compared to the previous years so I would use my Lancome serum and Estee Lauder moisturizer.

Green Tea Moisturizer

This moisturizer is my second favorite. Like the wipes, after using it my skin feels super refreshed and cool. I think I would pick this moisturizer over the oil free one because I LOVE gel moisturizers. I have used the Clinque moisture surge gel lotion in the past and loved it also, after that I seemed to have grown fondness for gel textured moisturizers. I usually leave the Green Tea Moisturizer on my dresser next to my makeup, so that I am constantly reminded to apply it before I apply makeup. It is very important to moisturize your face during the day so that would skin does not get dry (especially during harsh winter weather).

Advanced blemish treatment

I have used this product a few times. I don't break out on a regular basis, so I can't say for a fact that it works every time. However, I think if you get pimples, this product this worth a try. I remember when I was a teenager and would constantly breakout, at that time I was desperate to try ANYTHING in order to make the acne go away. I actually remember seeing the Proactiv infomercials and wanted to try them out.

Oil Free Moisturizer

I think this is a good moisturizer, however if I had to choose between this and the Green Tea Moisturizer I would definitely not choose it. I think the two moisturizers give the same outcomes but I am just more fond of gel based moisturizers.

Deep Cleaning wash

I have used this product a few times. It kind of reminds me of the St. Ives Apricot Scrub that I have used in the past. The thing that I hate about exfoliating washes is that the exfoliating particles always get stuck in the hairs on my face (like my eye brows and my eye lashes). So when using this product be very careful not to get it on your brows and lashes or else it will take way too much effort to remove. The cool thing about this product is that if you have body acne or bumps (like on your back), you can use this to wash that area and hopefully get rid of the acne. I don't get body acne or bumps, so I can't say that I have tried it but hey why not, it's worth a try!

Overall, I thought this was an interesting experience. I have read a lot of messages and comments from people who have tried Proactiv and said that it has worked for them. In the past some of my family members have used it also and said it works (that it work better on oily skin). I think that if you have acne and want to get rid of it then Proactiv is worth a try. However, everyone is different, keep in mind that it may or may not work for you.

Old Hollywood Inspired (Holiday OOTD )

Hi Everyone,

This OOTD is Old Hollywood inspired. I decided to stick with the theme for my hair and makeup (tutorial coming soon). My style is pretty simple, I like to pair up basics to create a put together look. For this OOTD, I wore the classic little black dress. I think the piece of focus here are my suspender tights. They are my new favorite thing for winter because they cover my legs compared to knee highs or stockings. I love the faux garter belt look that they have. Wearing the necklace over my turtleneck is actually Marilyn Monroe inspired. I hope you guys like this look. Happy Holidays!!! Love ya.

This is probably one of my favorite dresses of all time! I got it at Bebe last Christmas and actually wore it to a Christmas Party.

I love to pair this guess coat up with my Burberry scarf and Portolano gloves.

Sexify & Feminize without showing too much skin [OOTD : Suspender Tights & Sweater Dress]

Here is the finished look:

First you will need a chunky sweater. This particular sweater (cowl neck & cable knit) I got at Akira Chicago.

To give the sweater a more fitted looked I decided to take a gold belt and cinch my waist with it. This will not only give my body more shape (curves), it will also draw attention to the smallest part of my waist.

I got this best at ASOS and it was on sale for ten bucks!

Another important thing to do is roll up your sleeves! It will make the sweater look more fitted to your body and less baggy.

Now some finishing touches to the outfit. Adding a lace slip or dress underneath will make the outfit softer and more feminine (I got the lace dress from Dry Goods). Pairing this up with a pair of suspender tights will give your outfit a more alluring and sexy vibe (Black Bow Suspender Tights are from ASOS).

Throw in a purse and you are ready to go. (Vintage Chanel Purse)

Also I am wearing my Christian Louboutin Simple Black Patent Pumps with this outfit.

Proactiv update! My Still Favorite Products

So I have been using Proactive for around three months or so now. I am still in love with their makeup wipes. In fact, I have been loving it so much that I ran out! I usually use them to wipe any make up off when I get home from going out or running errands. When I am at home I like to be makeup free! I think it is just more comfortable that way and my skin can breathe.

I think I notice while using the wipes is that when I use one wipe to remove the makeup on my face, sometimes the black from my liquid liner or mascara would smear on my cheeks. I would either have to use another wipe to get all off the makeup off completely or just wash my face with warm water. I wish the wipes were a little bigger so I can remove makeup residue from my face completely!

My skin has been behaving since I am done with school! Being in a lower stress environment has kept my skin pretty clear. Therefore, there was little need for the spot treatment, exfoliating face/body wash, or refining mask. Now that I think about it, I need to use the refining mask soon, since I have been lazy too use it. I love using face masks at least once a month because it just leaves my face super clean and refresh.

I am also still loving Proactiv's Green Tea Moisturizer. I usually only use it before I apply on makeup. I love the fact that it is gel based, it moisturizes but does not leave a oil residue on your skin.

I think a big MISCONCEPTION is that when people think of face lotions/moisturizers they think that it would cause pimples and make your skin oilier. I actually thought of the same thing when I was in high school. Not until college that I started to moisturize my skin on a daily and nightly basis. Moisturizing your skin is VERY important, and no matter your skin type you must moisturize your skin, especially during the cold winter season. I think that key is that you have to find the perfect moisturizer for your skin type. I think most Proactiv products are more suitable for oily skin type. At times I feel like my skin doesn't get enough moisture because it gets extremely dry during the winter and also when I get wind burn from going outside in the cold. My cousin and aunt both have used Proactiv and both have oily skin, think the same as I do. I only use the green tea moisturizer during the day time because of this exact reason. During the nighttime I like to use my Estee Lauder Night Cream because my skin can be replenished while I am getting my beauty rest.

What I recently learned is that the Green Tea Moisturizer is best suited for acne prone skin (which I do not have) that is oily, dry, or mixed. It also contains green tea, iris and macadamia extract that "help your complexion retain moisture and regulate oil". Due to the Green Tea extract when putting this on at night could wake up your skin and making it soft and supple. The site didn't mention the anti-oxidation effects green tea possesses, which I am somewhat surprised about. However, I am not sure how much green tea extract is even in this moisturizer, and if there is even a sufficient amout be have anti-oxidant power.

In conclusion, I think I stuck with the favorite products that I started out with and mentioned in my first Proactiv blog post . I think this is because I do not have acne prone skin so there was no need to use the other products on a regular basis.

(These Proactiv products were all sent to me. I did not purchase all of them. However, like always all of the things I have stated are my own honest opinion ! )

At home fun with Proactiv Refining Mask

My skin for the past month has been BAD. I am not sure if it is due to allergies, allergic reactions, or breakouts but I have gotten quite a few pimples. I usually get them on my cheeks and forehead. For the past week everything has gotten back to normal. I am SO glad. I have been using quite a few products on my skin for the pimples (Proactiv Advanced Blemish Treatment and Clean & Clear Acne Moisturizer). For moisturizers I have been using Proactiv Green Tea Moisturizer, Laneige Pore Trouble Emulsion, H20+ Green Tea Antioxidant Face Complex , and Estee Lauder Hydra Complete (night).

My Thoughts on Proactiv Advanced Blemish Treatment:
I have used this product a few times. I first tested it on my boyfriend because he gets pimples on a more regular basis than I do. One time, he had this HUGE pimple, I applied the treatment on a few times for two day but there seem to be no change. The first time I used the treatment on a pimple I had I also saw no change.

However, I decided to give it another try on an extremely painful pimple (it was large and was under the skin more so and very red & swollen) and I was desperate to make it go away! It was the worst kind of all pimples that hides underneath the surface of your skin. Surprising, it did work this time! The size, redness, and pain reduced and it eventually went away.

This past weekend I also got the chance to try out Proactiv Refining Mask....

When you first apply a coat on to your skin, there was no special tingly feeling or anything different like other face masks I have tried in the past . Unlike other face masks, the product is very light when it is applied.

You guys are going to love this.....

...............I got my boyfriend, Eric, to test this face mask out with me!

After ten minutes or so (when the mask is completely dried), we washed it off with luke warm water. It was kind of difficult to remove it from our face (but I think every face mask is like this). Eric hated this on the other hand, I think it was because he was a guy and had no idea what washing on a face make would be like.

After patting my face dry I felt a difference, my face looked more radiant. I had to apply a moisturizer on to my skin because the mask did dry out my skin quite a bit.

I was very surprised about the outcome. My face felt very clean and refreshed. I thought my complexion improved a tad bit also!

That was my thoughts & review on Proactiv Refining Mask and

Advanced Blemish Treatment. Please note that these products were sent to me and I did not purchase any of them. Although, EVERYTHING I wrote was my honest opinion and experience with the products. I try to be as honest and unbiased

as possible!

1.2.3. Super Easy Holiday Roast Beef Recipe

First thing I did was set my slow cooker to "high"

Take one package of Onion Powder Soup Mix (1 oz). Pour it into your slow cooker.

Take 1/3 cup of soy sauce. Pour it into your slow cooker also.

Then add 2 tsp of black pepper.

You will need 3 lbs. of Chuck Roast. I usually rinse my meat with cold water before I cook it.

Fill your slow cooker until 1/2 of your roast is NOT covered with water.

Cook for 4 hours on HIGH. After that the meat should be cooked, I cut my roast in 1/2 so that the inside of the roast will seasoned. I also flipped my roast. You can taste the soup to see if it is salty enough for your taste, if not add more soy sauce. Then cook for 4 hours on LOW.

Let the roast cool.

Take the soup and add 4-5 tbsp of flour to make a gravy. Mixed well then turn the fire on to medium. Stir occasionally and let the gravy boil. After that let it cool and it should thicken.

I also made potatoes and broccoli & cauliflower as sides. For the potatoes I added a little bit of my greek salad dressing and put it in the forman grill. The broccoli & cauliflower were steamed by putting them in a microwave safe container and adding a little water; then microwaving for 3 minutes.

Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter Lipstick

Heya Guys!

So today I had a mission to get the NEW revlon color burst LIP BUTTER lipsticks. I actually drove everywhere to try to find these babies & it was raining which made the situation worst! After driving to three CVS's in my area I finally found one that carried these lipstick and there was plenty of options to choose from. Also big thanks to my twitter followers, Emily Noel( her video was super helpful!!), & Carly Cristman for suggesting colors!

Lipsticks OVERall...are very moisturizing. When you first apply them on to your lips it feels SUPER smooth, just like butter. They are more pigmented than a tinted lip balm yet they are moisturizing and high in gloss compared to the typical feel of regular lipsticks. I love how they are so moisturizing because I have to constantly moisturizing my lips to keep them soft, all season long. However, especially in the winter because my skin and lips get extremely dry. I think that they came out at the perfect time! I was able to buy quite a few because there is a buy one get one 50% off sale at CVS and I also had $5 extra bucks! Here are the colors that i bought:

Cherry Tart

This is the first lipstick that I tried from the new line. I love this color, I think it is my favorite out of all of the color I have bought. This color is perfect for the holiday. It is a sheer red color, that has a little shimmer in it. This color reminds me to Cindi from MAC.

Candy Apple

This color is red with a slight orange tint to it. Unlike cherry tart, it does not have any shimmer, it is more of a matte color.

Lollipop

I have heard a lot of good things about this color from both youtube and twitter. It is a dark fuschia pink color, it has a cool bluish tone. I think this color is okay, I somewhat don't understand what all the rage for this color is about. I don't think it compliments my skin color that much compared to some of the other colors that I have purchased.

Berry Smoothie

This color is a medium pink with also a cool tone to it. This color too was okay to me, I didn't think it was a unique color. I feel like I have tried and seen this color elsewhere.

Sweet Tart

This color is a sweet barbie pink color. This color is also one of my favorites from this haul. I thought it brighten my face and compliments my skin tone. I think this color and cherry tart is a must have!

Creamsicle

I love this color also! It is a peach nude color. The color it self is quite sheer, it gives your lips a bare look but you true lip color still shines. It also has slight frost to it.

Brighter Eyes & Long lashes Basics

This is the current lash serum/conditioner/ primer that I have been using (Dior Maximizer Lash Serum) . It was a birthday gift from a friend so it was not purchased by myself. I like it, I have also used other lash conditioners such as the Loreal lash serum and the Talika Lipocils. I think I had an allergic reaction to the Loreal one but I LOVED the Talika Lipocils lash conditioner, probably even more than dior's lash serum. But I am waiting to get it after I am done using the Dior lash serum.

The application is very simple you just kind of apply it everywhere on your top and bottom lashes.

I am currently using the Shisheido Lash Curler but I like the Shu Uemura gold lash curler better but the one that I had was way too old and stopped working correctly.

When curling lashes remember to curl at the root, middle, and tip of the lashes, for a curved shape. This will keep you from having lashes that only sticks straight up. I usually hold about 10-15 seconds at each spot of my lashes.

This is my current favorite cheap drug store mascara. It is the Maybelline's Lash Stiletto. It works very very well. My high end favorite is Lancome Definicils. I think the two accomplish about the same results, that is why I am using the cheaper of the two brands.

When applying mascara to your bottom lashes first use the tip of the wand to get every single lash and get in the areas that are hard to get into. Then use the whole wand, with the zig zag motion to evenly coat all of your bottom lashes.

My left bottom lashes have nothing on them; where as, the right bottom lashes are applied with mascara (top). Both of my bottom lashes are coated with mascara (bottom).

For my top lashes I like to use card stock underneath to avoid the mascara from getting on my skin. I use the tip of the wand to get in to hard to get areas and to remove clumps. The tip of the wand can also be used for the tips of your lashes, to elongate them. Then I would either use a rolling outward motion or a zip zag motion to coat all of my lashes evenly.

The Lancome Bifacil is my current favorite makeup remover. I think it is worth the price. It removes all of my makeup and also moisturizes my skin. I use this to remove makeup before I go to bed. I usually take a folded piece of toilet paper or cotton ball, apply a small quarter size amount and then apply it on to my face. I also like proactiv's makeup wipes, they do get the job done especially when I am super lazy.

OTHER TIPS FROM VIEWERS/SUBBIES

You should try Nuance eye make-up remover from Salma Hayek. It's only available at CVS, but I highly recommend!!! It contains Cucumber and rosewater. I have tried soooooo many eye make-up removers to just be disappointed! This works and it's cheap, also softens. It's on sale buy 1 get 1 50% of this week.

My favorite remover is EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL. If it feels too oily, i mix in with a little bit of water and it dilutes it. It gets rid of my liquid foundation & waterproof mascara!

If you get the product on your skin, wait until it is dry and take a qtip and gently rub the mascara of :) AND ! :D If you want separated lashes then take a needle or a toothpick to separate them

Trying out Proactiv

So I have to admit, the first time I heard about this whole proactive proposal, I was some what iffy in deciding whether to do it or not. In the end I thought that it was worth a try. This is actually my first time giving something that correlates with TV infomercials a chance, even though I AM on of those people who can sit there for hours watching infomercials haha.

Now keep in mind that I am 23 and my skin has become a lot more balanced compared to how it was when I was 16. I think I have pretty well behaved skin but I do get the occasion pimple or two, when midterms and finals roll around. I am not sure if my skin behaves so well because I maintain it on a regular basis or because of simply good genes, either way I am very grateful.

When I was a teenager I had EXTREMELY oily skin, but right now I think I describe my skin as being normal. I also used to breakout all of the time; however, this went away when I became 20.

So I was sent proactiv products about a week or two ago. Yes, I did not purchase any of this (just to be honest, in case it did matter).

I did not get the chance to try everything out because I didn't want to overload my skin and in case I had an allergic reaction to anything. But the things that I did have the chance to try out I am very fond of.

My current favorite are their Makeup Cleansing Wipes. I think they are the best makeup wipes I have used yet. They are very refreshing and is able to remove all of my makeup with one piece of cloth. I have been using this every day ever since I have received it in the mail. I usually use it at the end of the night before I go to bed or after I get home from school and what to be makeup free.

I also really like their green tea moisturizer. When you first put it on your feel a subtle cool tingling sensation, which calms my skin down. I have cat allergies so my skin can be irritated very easily. I love how this moisturizer is gel based; therefore, It is very light and moisturizing. And it also reduces redness in my skin.

I will mostly give more updates on how the products are and my opinions on the ones that I have not tried.

Back story to this video.

I decided to film a makeup video on the exact day that my allergies was the WORST. My luck right? My eyes were extremely irritated so I could not wear contacts...I was basically blind while putting my makeup on. First you are going to damp your bangs with water. This is to dilute the mousse so it does get flake or hard.

Apply a tiny amount of get. Use a 3" round brush (ION) and hairdryer (Babyliss) to curl your bangs.

(Optional) You can tease your crown area for added volume. I usually like to tease my hair because I have extremely thin hair and tease keeps it from looking flat.

I am using Aussie Instant Freeze hairspray. It is my favorite!!! And it smells great. This hairspray will give maximum hold and it is very cheap!

I am using a rattail comb to tease my hair. You can use a comb with fine bristles or a brush.

Gently smooth my hair out.

Use a comb to pair your hair. It will give a super straight and precise line.

Curl each side away from your face. This will give kind of the swept away effect to your hair.

Position hair how you want it and hold it in place with hairspray. I like to use hairspray on my bang because it keeps the hair lifted and not touching my face. I HATEEEE it when my bangs touch my skin! Crazy pet peeve, I know...=/

I love this look! It is old and made new. I love the sexy pin-up symbol of the 1940's made famous during World War II. Color Club (Age of Aquarius )

I don't like wearing cool colors much except for purples, so this time I decided to try this color out. I feel like since I don't wear colors this cool when I wear it, it irritates me a little. The polish it self is very true to color and great. I guess when I look back at the video that I am wearing it in, the color itself looks pretty good. But since I am not used to cool color I remember when I wore it I kept staring at my nails and thinking that it looks like ghoul nails.

Essie (Shop till I Drop)

I was very disappointed at this polish!!!! I was hoping for something opaque and I wouldn't have to paint on a excessive amount of get the color seen on. However the polish is very very sheer.

Essie (Nice is Nice)

I absolutely LOVEEEEEEE this color! It is super opaque and true to color! What you see is what you get! It is a very very very lovely color.

Essie (Plaza Sweet)

This color was very true to what you see in the bottle. Since I was looking for a coral color I guess I was hoping for a less red tint. I am not too amazed by it, it's not a favorite but if you like the color you see in the bottle then you should get it.

China Glaze (Bare if you dare)

This color is very unique. I usually don't like shimmers but this color was an exception. I love the gold sheen it had and it is a peach pink coral color. It looks great on both your finger and toe nails. I definitely recommend this color! It is a must have!!!

CND (sticky anchoring base coat)

I loveeeeeeeeee this base coat. I have tried quite a few base coats and this one is my favorite. Your polish will stay on and not chip! I have tried Essie , OPI, and Orly base coats and I definitely will pick CND over them any day!

Seche Vite Top Coat

This top coat has been a rave on youtube and I totally agree with everyone else. Your nails are shiny, glossy, and it lasts longer. This is my new favorite top coat!

Yellow Out Clear Acrylic Top CoatThis polish was recommended by the guy who worked at the store when I told him I wanted whiter nails. I don't think I've used it enough to come to a conclusion on whether I like it or not. A tip though, I didn't read the find print and thought this was a base coat, BIG mistake it makes your polish peel like crazy if you do what I did. I will have to use it as a top coat and then decide if I like it or not.

Due to the unpredictable weather fluctuation in Chicago, you always have to prepare yourself! I brought a cardigan along with me today when I was running errands in case it got cold. Here I am wearing a fitted cardigan, this will help create shape to my outfit.

Matisse Camel Colored Boots & Akira Black Label Skinny Jeans

I got the boots from Hautelook they were under $50. The jeans are from a store called Akira Chicago they were around $20 ( I think they were on sale).

These boots are my current favorite! I wear them EVERYWHERE. They fit perfectly and are just below the knee. They have a slight heel to them. I love how they are super structured.

Classic Gray Smokey Eyes and Natural Colored Lips

This is my favorite look! It is wearable for day and night. I love the classic smokey eyes. As long as it is not too heavy it is day time appropriate. I first used Too Faced Shadow insurance as a primer on my eyes. Then I made a thin line on my upper lids with Revlon Color Stay pencil liner (in blackest black). I also lined the outer half of my lower lids. Then I used the gray color in my Urban Decay Naked palette. I just added the color on top of the liner and blended it upward for a smokey effect. I curled my lashes and used Dior Black Out and Lancome Definicils Precious Cells Mascara. For my lips I just have on lip balm. The blush I have on my cheek bones is Rock and Republic X-Rated. The bronzer that I used to contour the hollows of my cheeks is a limited edition MAC bronzer called solaris. I also used clear gel from Ardell for my eyebrows.

Butterfly Clip (Michael's) 4 for $4

My current summer favorite is butterfly clips! I have worn this EVERYwhere I go, from the beach to concerts. They are super eye catching and a great detail to complete your outfit.

My on going obsession have always been cross necklaces. It is ironic because I am far from religious. But it is just something about them that is so beautiful. This is my favorite cross necklace. I love its detail and vibrant blue & orange color. I got it a while a go when I visited my friend in Ohio and I don't remember the name of the store.

Cuff Bracelet (Forever 21) less than $10

This is my current obsessed over accessory. It goes with everything I wear! I love to wear it because it finishes my look =] .

Sally Hansen Polish (First Kiss)

I actually don't own this polish. I painted my nails when I was at my best friend, Carly's apartment. My nails looked terrible and I just had to repaint them. I love this color it is a bright coral pink!

The Comforter Bubble Bar $9.95

Blackcurrant absolute is extracted by solvent extraction from the buds of the blackcurrant bush. The fragrance is comforting and relaxing.

My thoughts: This smells delicious! I love the fact that you can use it multiple times and not just once like the bath bombs. I love to take baths something that I was interested in trying. If you are more of a shower person, then this is not recommended since you basically use this for your bath. I don't think it gives off as much bubbles as I thought it would have. The smell doesn't stick to your skin after you are done with the bath, which kind of bugs me because for this price it should!

Buffy Body Butter $22.95

During a trip to Brazil, product inventor Rowena was inspired by the beautiful women who rub a mixture of sand and suntan oil on their backsides to improve circulation and reduce cellulite. She came home, mixed together cocoa and shea butters (to soften and moisturize), ground rice, almonds and aduki beans (to exfoliate you to velvety perfection) and voila, Buffy was created. Buff yourself in the bath or shower (pay special attention to your backside), rinse and pat dry.

My thoughts: I LOVE THIS STUFF. Yes, it is really really expensive now that I look back at the price, but I think that it is worth it! How you use it is first you wet it and then scrub it on skin that is wet also (I would use it while I'm showering. The exfoliation could be a little rough, so if you have super sensitive skin you should ask to try a sample before you invest most in buying this. This bar not only exfoliates but it is SUPER moisturizing! It makes my skin nice and soft. The smell is nothing fabulous but I love the results!

MMM Melting Marshmellow Moment Bath Melt $7.95

Marshmallow powder comes from the marshmallow herb. When mixed with the hot water, the powder becomes a mucilage and softens the water.

My thoughts: This smells like heaven. I am almost even tempted to eat it. Unfortunately the smell doesn't stick on your skin after you bathe. The melt does make the water feel soft, but I am not sure it has any actual results on my skin. I may have to use this multiple times to conclude whether or not it makes my skin softer.

Strawberry Feels Forever Massage Bar $9.95

Strawberries contain both malic and citric acids, also known as fruit acids (AHAs). They are very calming on the skin.

My thoughts: I have used up one of these bars before and I love it. I love thick thick super moisturizing lotions. The smell is great and it stick on your skin and makes your skin super soft!

Bubble Gum lip scrub $8.95

Castor sugar is particularly fine-grained sugar, which dissolves in water very easily. It is used as a culinary ingredient, particularly in baking. We like to use it in our bath products.

My thoughts: I love the taste and smell of this product. And the great part is that you can eat it after you scrub your lips with it! All you do is simply rub this on your lips and rub your lips with one another, after a few seconds you can simply lick it off!

Ultra Balm $2.00

Due to jojoba oil's affinity with our own sebum, it is more readily absorbed and tolerated by the top layer of our skin. It is very light and moisturizing.

My thoughts: I am not too excited about the smell. I though it moisturized my lips ok. I don't think I was as impressed with this as I was hoping to be.

Hi Readers!

So I just woke up, decided to check hautelook out to see what sales are going on. Today is my lucky day because AA is on sale and I was able to snatch a bunch of clothes before it got sold out! I know AA can be expensive so I was able to save a bunch of money buying sale stuff =) . If you are not familiar with hautelook the sale events are timed to occur for a few days only. So you have to look at their event calender to see what is on sale and what is going to be on sale. How to Get Sparkly Gold Nails

First Apply two layers of base coat on your nails. I used OPI base coat for natural nails. This will protected your nails from yellowing and staining (since we are using dark colored polishes).

Now apply a black coat (two coats).

Now apply the gold glitter. Do NOT stroke the polish on because you want the glitter to be thick on your nails. Dab on the polish so you can control where the glitter goes. Apply two coats (make sure the first coat dries completely before you paint on the second coat). Then apply a top coat for a shiny and sparkly finish ( I used Essie Top Coat).

My first Louboutins

This is my birthday present to myself! LOL

Other than a laptop, these shoes are probably the BIGGEST investment I have made. They are perfection ( I love shoes, like Carrie Bradshaw) . I think they are worth it all and will probably last me a long time. I know that there are fakes that are sold of these at the faction of the price but I would NEVER be tempted to buy them. When I was younger I used to think that it was ok to buy fakes but now I realize that #1. the quality will never live up to the real things #2. the designers are being taken advantage of.

For example if you had this really big exam and you have taken weeks out of your time studying and preparing for it. When you take the exam some random person next to you decides to cheat and copies you. This person and you both get A's at the end. I think if you were the one doing ALL of the work and studying, you would be pissed off that the person got the same grade as you but did nothing to earn it.

Anyhow enough of my rambling here they are. They are super COMFORTABLE! And they are in the size 36 which is equivalent to a 6 in US sizing. I bought mine at Saks Fifth Ave. and they retailed to $595. Over all including handling and shipping/taxes was about $630.

I haven't done a "real" entry in a longggg time, so I thought it was nice to write about something that I have been questioned a lot about.

So, what does A Hanh Barbie mean?

A - singular form

Hanh - my name

Barbie- a stereo typic doll of the "perfect" woman

You may ask, why would you want this name?

My thought when I first came up with this name was to break the stereotype. I didn't want my name to come off as a mold or an extremely girly girl who is super materialistic. But instead my name is meant to be someone who is their own person. An individual who is beautiful in their own way and not apart of the typical mold that society tries to make women in to.

I am my own barbie. I can be beautiful in my own way. I am not blonde, tall, or domesticated. I am strong. I am unique in my own way. I am true to myself. I am far from perfect. And you don't need to be in order to be beautiful. Beauty comes in all shapes, forms, and colors.

I hope that after reading this you realize what if you haven't already. You are the most beautiful when you are yourself.

They were all so pretty! haha I wanted to have everything. I mostly have very essential bras that are either nude or black and they are smooth so I can wear them under anything and everything. I don't have many fancy bras that are lacy so I decided to get some =).

I kinda had a limit on how much everything is. I decided to buy bras around 20 bucks (and under 30) which i think is reasonable, since this stuff is suppose to be "discount" anyways I didn't want to get something that costed a fortune . And i didnt want to spend too much on underwear so 12 bucks and below was ok. I didn't get alot because some of the bras looked weird or wasn't my size.
